Hi! I'm Natasha.

I am currently completing my PhD at the University of Newcastle in Australia. In the past, I have graduated with first class honours in a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration, minoring in Biological Science. Before that, I also completed a Bachelor of Communication with a specialisation in Media Production – a unique background that has influenced my interest in creating meaningful visual artefacts, both traditional and digital.

It is my aim to create engaging and useful visual elements, with a focus on effectively communicating information and knowledge. At this stage, these visualisations take many forms, including that of animations, illustrations and interactive media. My overall goal is to create curiosity, to educate, and to inspire others with my work.

What is natural history illustration?

Natural history illustration brings together three main subject areas - art, science and the environment. It requires meticulous attention to detail and scientific accuracy, along with a flair for creative design.
